New positive self-talk posters in the English and Irish language are launching for use in primary and secondary schools.
Walk in My Shoes (WIMS) is launching new positive self-talk posters for schools in celebration of Seachtain na Gaeilge 2025. The posters, available in the English and Irish language, can help boost students’ self-esteem, confidence and motivation.
The benefits of positive self-talk
Our goal is to empower students across Ireland with positive mental health awareness. We're excited to publish these positive posters that can support wellbeing and encourage healthy mental health practices in schools nationwide.
Self-talk plays an important role in shaping our emotions and actions. Positive self-talk can be a source of encouragement and motivation or it can be critical and impact our confidence. These posters can act as a tool to promote positive self-talk, acting as a colourful reminder to motivate and encourage your students.
Supporting Seachtain na Gaeilge
We’re proud to support Seachtain na Gaeilge, the annual international festival promoting the Irish language and culture, by offering our motivational posters as Gaeilge (in Irish). We hope the posters can be enjoyed in classrooms, including Gaelscoileanna, Gaelcholáistí and Irish language schools across Ireland.
Our WIMS Campaign Manager, Amanda McArdle, says: “We are excited to launch our new posters to encourage schools to add more positive self-talk and positive thinking into their days."
"We are delighted to launch new posters to mark Seachtain na Gaeilge again this year and hope all schools across Ireland enjoy our new resources."
